with a small budget, the client wanted a large kitchen space to the rear of a modest Victorian terraced house. so, we proposed an infill extension to use this often wasted space! we designed a stunning glass roof to let in plenty of natural light, set on a new boundary wall. large sliding doors replaced an original window opening to the rear to give more daylight and access out to the rear garden. the overall design opened up the internal space into a fantastic open plan kitchen with steps up into the higher dining area. the garden was kept at the same level as the new kitchen with the same flooring from inside to out to give the feeling of even more space when the new doors are fully opened.
